In 2024, the SACMI Group<\/b> recorded consolidated revenues of \u20ac\u06f1.\u06f7\u06f2\u06f8 billion<\/b>. Despite a complex international economic and geopolitical landscape, the company’s economic and financial indicators remained robust. Net equity<\/b> exceeded one billion euros<\/b> for the first time (\u20ac\u06f1.\u06f0\u06f5\u06f5 billion, an increase of \u20ac\u06f1\u06f7\u06f2 million compared to 2023). EBITDA<\/b> (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) was over \u20ac\u06f3\u06f2\u06f3 million<\/b>, EBIT<\/b> (Earnings Before Interest and Taxes) reached \u20ac\u06f2\u06f3\u06f6 million<\/b>, and net profit<\/b> surpassed \u20ac\u06f2\u06f0\u06f0 million<\/b>.<\/p>\n

“\u06f2\u06f0\u06f2\u06f4 was a strong year, beyond expectations,” stated Chairman Paolo Mongardi<\/b> regarding the consolidated financial results. “SACMI’s forward-looking strategy is built on solid foundations and is perfectly aligned with global trends in digitalization and sustainability.”<\/p>\n

While an anticipated slowdown occurred in the ceramics sector<\/b> due to international tensions and a global construction market downturn, the rigid packaging<\/b>, advanced technologies<\/b>, and packaging & chocolate<\/b> divisions performed exceptionally well. This success was partly driven by dynamic markets that are receptive to innovation.<\/p>\n

Investments in 2024 remained high, reaching \u20ac\u06f7\u06f1 million<\/b>\u2014a similar level to the previous year\u2014with a particular focus on innovation<\/b> (\u06f2\u06f7\u06f6 new patent applications were filed in 2024 alone, bringing the Group’s total registered patents to over 6,200) and training<\/b> (more than 94,000 hours of training were provided).<\/p>\n

Concurrently, SACMI cemented its role as a key player in the environmental transition<\/b> of the manufacturing industry. In 2024, the company introduced innovative thermal processes, including electric kilns and dryers for the ceramic industry, process control solutions (following the acquisition of a majority stake in Italvision), and environmentally friendly standards, processes, and materials in the packaging sector.<\/p>\n

“Sustainability is key to future competitiveness,” Mongardi explained. “We continue to invest in people and the values that have always underpinned SACMI’s global success.”<\/p>\n

This commitment to sustainability is also evident at the corporate governance<\/b> level. SACMI brought forward its adherence to the new European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)<\/b> to 2024 and launched the Group’s first comprehensive sustainability plan<\/b>\u2014an ambitious initiative outlining clear actions and goals across the entire value chain, from suppliers to local communities.<\/p>\n

In the ESG<\/b> (Environmental, Social, and Governance) domain, SACMI increased its monitoring of indirect emissions from the use of its equipment and reaffirmed its commitment to an eco-design and full product lifecycle approach<\/b> to achieve truly circular processes with reduced environmental impacts. Energy generated from renewable sources also increased to 2.6 million kWh, in line with the goal of progressively decarbonizing manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n

By the end of 2024, the SACMI Group employed a total of \u06f4,\u06f7\u06f5\u06f6 people<\/b>, with over 50% of new hires being under 30 years old, and a particular focus on collaborations with universities and research institutions. Furthermore, SACMI maintains close ties with local communities, with 90% of its supply chain comprising local suppliers.
